Oh Holy Night.

“but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.” Luke‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭

As I think of the glorious night that Jesus was born all I can imagine is the moon smiling down, the stars, and all of creation feeling a rumble inside of them not knowing what it was, but it being that the Savior of all the world was just born. The most beautiful thing about Jesus' birth is He came for us, not for Himself. Not to understand the human walk, but to change the creation forever and give us a much easier way to communicate with God and be saved. When we think of the birth of Jesus we often times think of the manger, the Wisemen, and the shepherds standing by. Still, we forget the most important part, Jesus saved all of humanity that day unknowingly by Jesus to even those who didn't know what was happening. Today, think of that night and truly take in just how holy that night truly is. All of humanity was changed and we will never be the same, we are saved through faith by Jesus. He came down to that manger from Heaven to show us that we can be saved, we can be forgiven and we are loved beyond measure. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!”” John‬ ‭8:58‬ ‭ “Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too.” 1 John‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭ “The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:11‬ ‭ ““Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”” Luke‬ ‭2:14‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
