Praise Him!

“With every bone in my body I will praise him: “Lord, who can compare with you? Who else rescues the helpless from the strong? Who else protects the helpless and poor from those who rob them?”” Psalms‬ ‭35:10‬ ‭

We each have our own trials and things that we face, and we each have things we get distracted over. Sometimes we get so distracted that we forget praising God in the good times isn't enough, we have to praise Him all the time. God doesn't want a part-time you, He wants a full-time you. You cannot expect God to always be there for you if you're only sometimes there for Him. A relationship with God is a two-way street, for you to have His blessing over His life you have to put effort in also. If you've been in a rut and don't know how to grow closer with God start by praising Him, even for things that haven't happened yet. When you learn to praise God in all seasons of life then you're on the right path of growing your relationship with God. Today, make sure that you're praising God, spending time in prayer, and being thankful for all God has done for you, and is yet to do. A thankful heart is beautiful to God. Praise Him all day no matter who you're around, or where you are. Listen to worship music in the car, while you clean, while you do homework, or just in the time you have to yourself. You will see your entire life improve when you begin to add God to each part of it. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “He has made his people strong, honoring his faithful ones— the people of Israel who are close to him. Praise the Lord!” Psalms‬ ‭148:14‬ ‭ “Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and amen!” Psalms‬ ‭41:13‬ ‭ “Shout to the Lord, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy!” Psalms‬ ‭98:4‬ ‭ “Sing to the Lord; praise his name. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.” Psalms‬ ‭96:2‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
