The Best Gift.

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.” Ephesians‬ ‭2:8‬ ‭

All I want for Christmas this year is for Jesus to live inside of me and help me be all I am called to be. The greatest gift this world has ever been given was Jesus. The first Christmas was over 2,000 years ago, in what would now be a barn. I'm sure Mary thought there were better places to have Jesus, but He was born at the exact time and place He was meant to be. Sometimes in life, things don't happen when or where we expect them, but the good thing is that things happen for us at the perfect time. Christmas is a reminder that just because things happen when we least expect them doesn't mean that it won't be the greatest thing ever. Jesus being born was the world's greatest accomplishment. Today, remind yourself that what you truly need this Christmas is Jesus' love and forgiveness, live for Him every day, and watch the amazing things He does for you. The best gift you can or will ever receive is Salvation, it isn't something you can see, buy in a store, or even earn, it is something Jesus freely gave us when He gave His life so that we can live again in heaven with Him. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.” Romans‬ ‭12:6‬ ‭ “Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.” James‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭ “Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking,” Matthew‬ ‭2:1‬ ‭ ““Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.”” Matthew‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭
