When You're Called.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭

I've seen so many people run from their calling from God, but the truth is you can never outrun God or His plans for your life. I witnessed someone running from what God was telling them and their calling, and they ended up in a place where they had no one, they were in a place where they had to listen to God, and they did, but not everyone makes the right decision in that place to decide. Think of Jonah, he ran from God and His calling, but He ended up in the belly of a whale and had no choice but to listen. Today, if you know you are truly called from God don't run from it, when God called you He also qualified you for it. I truly believe that every battle I have faced in life is for a calling God has for me, and someday I will understand what that calling really is. I have yet to understand my calling, but when I do I know I will understand how God qualified me for it. When you're called, you're qualified. God never calls those who are qualified, He qualifies those who are called. You might not look like the perfect person for the job but God sees the potential in you and the things you face will teach you what you need to know for your calling. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.” Colossians‬ ‭3:15‬ ‭ “And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.” Romans‬ ‭8:30‬ ‭ “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.” 2 Peter‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭ “Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from inside the fish.” Jonah‬ ‭2:1‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
