Wisemen Still Seek Him.

“Then Herod called for a private meeting with the wise men, and he learned from them the time when the star first appeared.” Matthew‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭

The wise men traveled and followed a star to find Jesus, but sometimes we can't even travel a few miles to church to worship Him. The amount of effort we put into our relationship with God matters, and seeing how the Wisemen made an effort to meet Jesus to worship should inspire us to make an effort for God the same way. Wisemen in today's world still make that effort to find a place to worship Jesus, wise men seek for Jesus to find what direction their life truly needs to go. You have to be like the wisemen in the bible and go above and beyond to find the true meaning in life, that being Jesus. Today, be a wise man and still seek for Him, go above and beyond to seek for Jesus and worship Him. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking,” Matthew‬ ‭2:1‬ ‭ “My wise men and enchanters have tried to read the words on the wall and tell me their meaning, but they cannot do it.” Daniel‬ ‭5:15‬ ‭ “‘And you O Bethlehem in the land of Judah, are not least among the ruling cities of Judah, for a ruler will come from you who will be the shepherd for my people Israel.’”” Matthew‬ ‭2:6‬ ‭ “Herod was furious when he realized that the wise men had outwitted him. He sent soldiers to kill all the boys in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, based on the wise men’s report of the star’s first appearance.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭2:16‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
