Broken Heart, Saved Soul.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” Psalms‬ ‭34:18‬ ‭

Sometimes God breaks your heart to save your soul. We all have had our hearts broken at some point, whether over a relationship, a friendship, or things we've had to go through. We often think that a friendship or relationship is what we need in our lives but God might have something greater for us ahead. If you've recently lost a relationship instead of taking it as a punishment from God take it as He is saving you from something in the end. Sometimes relationships can begin to lead us onto the wrong path even if we cannot see it yet because God looks at our hearts and souls. That heartbreak you've gone through wasn't God punishing you, or taking something away it was to save you and your soul. Thank God for saving you from something you didn't need. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.” Psalms‬ ‭34:17‬ ‭ “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’” Matthew‬ ‭22:37‬ ‭ “He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!” Psalms‬ ‭103:5‬ ‭ “Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and” Psalms‬ ‭42:5‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
