Choose Your Friends Wisely.

“Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.” Proverbs‬ ‭13:20‬ ‭

You will never get to where you want to be if you surround yourself with the same friends. Something that is a hard lesson to learn is that you cannot expect to do greater things and be greater when you're hanging out with negative people who don't uplift you. You cannot soar with eagles while flying with the chickens. When you want to go for greater things, you have to surround yourself with those who will uplift you and encourage you to do greater things and be greater. When choosing friends it isn't about who you've known the longest, it's about who has come around and shown you that they support you and your dreams. You can be friends with sinners and uplift others but when it comes to your circle keep it small with those who want the best for you, even Jesus had a small circle of 12 close friends and one betrayed Him. Not everyone wants what is best for you, sometimes people want what is best for them through you. Judas sold Jesus off for a small amount of money and later regretted it. Today, choose wisely who you surround yourself with. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs‬ ‭18:24‬ ‭ “A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.” Proverbs‬ ‭17:17‬ ‭ “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” Proverbs‬ ‭27:17‬ ‭ “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:9‬ ‭
