Gaurd Your Heart!

“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Proverbs‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭

Nothing in this life is worth risking your own eternity. You cannot focus more on someone else's salvation than your own. Although our purpose, is to spread the Gospel to everyone that we can, it's also important to work on our own salvation. You cannot expect to walk into being a minister, teacher, and someone who spreads the Gospel if you don't know God. When trying to help someone find God don't lose Him for yourself. Sometimes while we are trying to influence someone to see the change in you, they're influencing you to the same change you just came from. Today, make sure you're guarding your salvation while helping others find God. You are called to spread the Gospel but don't be persuaded by someone's words and actions, just because you're in this world doesn't mean you're of it. Guard your heart and salvation. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?” Matthew‬ ‭16:26‬  ‭ “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?” Mark‬ ‭8:36‬ ‭ “Is anything worth more than your soul?” Mark‬ ‭8:37‬ ‭ “or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul.” Proverbs‬ ‭22:25‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
