Guard Your Mind.

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭

The world will tell you to think of things that make you happy, the Bible tells you to think of pure things. You have to guard your mind, because thoughts become actions. You must learn to guard your mind to have a pure life. Your mind will tell your heart what to do, and everything in life flows from your heart. If you're not spending time reading the Bible, and building a relationship with God then the enemy will start to get into your mind and lead your heart astray. God's plans for you are amazing, but if the enemy can get thoughts in your head he will tell you that you're not enough, you're never going to get that job, house, or car, he will fill your head with lies. Make sure you spend quality time with God and gain His whole amour to stand against the enemy. “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
