Someone Is Depending On You!

“But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭

Someone somewhere depends on you to do what God has called you to do. Your calling isn't all about you, it's about saving souls. You can become the best Christian, the best version of yourself, and as close to God as you can be but at the end of the day you have a calling to do something for God. God doesn't call us to just tell one person about God, He calls us to save souls and speak to those who need to be told the gospel. Today, I encourage you to pray and ask God to show you your calling if you don't already know it because someone in this world depends on you even if you don't know them yet. Think about it this way: there are people in your life that you didn't know of 3 or 5 years ago but have impacted you and your relationship with God. You will be the same way for someone someday that you have yet to meet. Their lives and souls will forever be changed by you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭ “In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭ “For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭ “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.” 2 Peter‬ ‭1:3‬
