The Light Will Shine.

“Give thanks to him who parted the Red Sea. His faithful love endures forever.” Psalms‬ ‭136:13‬ ‭

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. I have clung to these words in some pretty dark moments. Today, I viewed this in a new way, when I grabbed my car keys I realized in my wallet I had a card with a quote on it from my devotional quote cards, and the quote was, "If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it." I thought about this quote throughout the day and tonight I thought of how the Israelites and Moses were faced with a problem, they came to the Red Sea and were being chased, but God parted the Red Sea for them. God will make a way when there seems to be no way, know that God is for you not against you. Today, if you're facing a time when it seems like the light won't shine again, know that there is light at the end of the tunnel and God does have amazing plans for you. If He brought you to it, then He will bring you through it! The light will shine again! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.”Romans‬ ‭4:21‬ ‭ “The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.” Psalms‬ ‭121:5‬ ‭ “He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” Psalms‬ ‭91:4‬ ‭ “For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does.” Psalms‬ ‭145:13‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
