Humble Yourself Before God.

“So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:6‬ ‭

God doesn't expect us to come to Him with perfection and having everything all together but He does expect us to come to Him with a humble spirit. You cannot come to God with an attitude or demand something. Just like with anyone if you make a mistake you are not in the place to make commands instead you ask for forgiveness which is what we should do with God. When you come to God and you're ready to give your heart to Him you have to get off your high horse and humble yourself before Him. As humans, we are going to make mistakes and that is just a part of life but how we react when we realize we have messed up is what matters. Never let the enemy make you think that living in sin is okay. When you find a relationship with God you want to change the Holy Spirit will show you the things in your life that you didn't notice were sins before and you will want to change them. Today, humble yourself before God and let Him change your heart into what you need it to be. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.” Philippians‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭ “And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”” James‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ “Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭ “In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:5‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
