No Favorites.
“Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism.” Acts of the Apostles 10:34
Have you ever looked at someone else's life and thought Man are they blessed with such good things? In today's world, we have social media, television, and so many other ways to see things and we realize that sometimes others get the exact thing we are praying for. Have you ever had to wait for something you desperately need? Think of Sarah and Abraham they prayed for a child and they eventually had the child that God had promised them. I'm sure Sarah felt forgotten, and maybe even got to a place where she felt like God had favorites. Sometimes we look at the way others are being blessed and feel as though God has favorites but the Bible shows us that He doesn't in this verse. He loves us all the same, He died for you the same way He died for me and every other person in this world. He loves every single person on this earth the same. Sometimes it's more about the wait than the blessing. When you prove to God you can be content with what you have, you can be faithful in prayer and worship then God blesses us. It's not about the Blessing it's about the wait and the prayers in between. Focus on what you have now not what is to come, God never forgets the promises He makes. Today, remind yourself that God has absolutely no favorites, He loves you just the same as He loves anyone else. Your promise and blessings are coming. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.” James 3:17 “Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.” Ephesians 6:9 “May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.’” Numbers 6:26 “May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you.”Numbers 6:25
