Spend Time With God, Daily.

“Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.” Luke‬ ‭9:23‬ ‭

When building a relationship with God, you must build your foundation on faith and His word. When we back up from spending time in the word we are missing the key to the foundation of the relationship with God. The world will tell you that reading your Bible every day isn't a necessity and that it's not something you have to do, but the Bible tells us that the Lord blesses those who read His word, listen to it, and obey it. You have to spend time with God to grow. You will never grow in God if you're constantly filling your mind with worldly things instead of things above. Today, make sure you're constantly working on the foundation of your relationship with God and that you're constantly working to better it. You will grow in your relationship with Him when you spend time in the word. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “He must always keep that copy with him and read it daily as long as he lives. That way he will learn to fear the Lord his God by obeying all the terms of these instructions and decrees.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭17:19‬ ‭ “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭ “But the word of the Lord remains forever.” And that word is the Good News that was preached to you.” 1 Peter‬ ‭1:25‬ ‭ “For the word of God will never fail.”” Luke‬ ‭1:37‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
