A Real Relationship!

“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.” John‬ ‭13:34‬ ‭

A relationship sent from God will bring you closer to God rather than away from Him. Knowing it will lead you into sin should tell you that it’s a relationship you shouldn’t get into! you cannot get into a relationship knowing it’s going to pull you away from God. A relationship and marriage will be used to better the kingdom of God. In today's day and age people get into relationships for the likes, follows, and the way people will notice it. That is far from what a relationship is about. You have to be picky with who you choose to date because your relationship is meant to be an example to others of a Godly relationship. Today, if you're in a relationship make sure it is a reflection of Christ, and if you're searching for a relationship be picky with who you choose. Be intentional with who you get into a relationship with knowing that it is more than just dating someone, it is about furthering the Kingdom of God and helping save souls. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Proverbs‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭ “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:9‬ ‭ “If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:10‬ ‭ “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
