Eyes On The Future.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭

Let this chapter of your life be the best. You cannot spend the best years of your life looking in the rearview mirror. Let this chapter be the one you praise God for! God has amazing blessings awaiting you. You don't have to spend all your time focused on your mistakes, those are forgiven. The moment you asked God for forgiveness He washed them away. God doesn't hold a grudge like humans tend to do. Instead, He forgets them. You are walking into a new chapter, there is no need to be focused on the things of the past when the future is so much better. Although none of us know what the future will hold we know who holds our future. God's plans for us are better than our own, we know that the future will be great because God is great. Today, make sure that your eyes are on what is to come, not what is in the past. You're chosen and you are forgiven. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs‬ ‭16:9‬ ‭ “who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.” Colossians‬ ‭1:14‬ ‭ “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” 1 John‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭ “Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all.” Psalms‬ ‭65:3‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
