Faith Over Feelings.

“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Proverbs‬ ‭4:23‬

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. You cannot depend on your feelings, that is a part of your flesh. The enemy often uses your feelings to make you want to sin, even though you know it is wrong in your heart. You cannot let feelings and emotions run your life or you will end up in places you were never meant to be. God doesn't work through feelings, He works through your Spirit. We are human, and we all have feelings. It's okay to feel and have feelings, but when we try to trust how we feel over what God says we are headed down a terrible path. Today, don't lean on your own thoughts and understanding, because they will fail you. Put all of your hope in Christ and you will always end up in the best place. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭ “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.” Proverbs‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭ “The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” Psalms‬ ‭28:7‬ ‭ “But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me.” Psalms‬ ‭13:5‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
