Foundation With Jesus!

“It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built.” Luke‬ ‭6:48‬ ‭

The rain came, the wind blew, but my house was built on You. Have you heard of the story from the Bible where one man built his house on the sand, and the water came and washed it away, but the man who built his house on the rock was safe? That's how life is. When our foundation for everything is built on God, we will never have it washed away. You have to make sure that your job, home, cars, spouse, friends and all have to be set on the foundation of Christ. Nothing in life can be made to with stand hard times if it isn't built on the fact that it is God's plan for you, and your life. Today, make sure all aspects of your life are built on Christ. He has to be the center of it all for things to work the way they are meant to. Here are some verses to reflect on today. ““Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.” Matthew‬ ‭7:24‬ ‭ “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:58‬ ‭ “By standing firm, you will win your souls.” Luke‬ ‭21:19‬ ‭ “But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken.” Psalms‬ ‭33:11‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
