Mind Your Business.
“Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before.” 1 Thessalonians 4:11
We have all heard the phrase "Mind your own business." The Bible teaches us that actually is what we are meant to do. Something I've noticed over time is when people are more focused on other's lives their lives end up in a huge mess, like a ball of yard all twisted up and confused. The reasoning for that is because how can you focus on what you're meant to do, say, and how you're supposed to act when you don't have time to worry about someone else's life. Today, remind yourself that your relationship with God needs to be what you're focusing on, not on someone else and what they're doing. We cannot spend our lives focused on someone else and expect to achieve all that we want to. Our time must be spent on our relationship with Christ and walking in the ways He tells us to. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians 4:8 “Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”Proverbs 3:6 “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” Isaiah 26:3 “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” 1 Corinthians 15:58
