The Right Relationship.

“We love each other because he loved us first.” 1 John‬ ‭4:19‬ 

‭If you're searching for a relationship or wondering if the one you're in is the relationship that God has designed for you then here is how you figure it out. When it comes down to you being serious about your relationship with God do they feel the same about their relationship with God? Are they making an effort to grow closer to God? Are they pulling you further away or closer to God? When you answer these questions to yourself you will realize a lot about what the future would look like with them. Feelings can often cloud our judgment and make us live in a fantasy world. Today, you have to ask yourself will this relationship that I am in, or the one I've yet to find be focused on Christ or the world? The person God has designed for you will show you the love of Jesus, treasure you, and always bring you closer to God. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4‬ ‭ “Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:7‬ ‭ “But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John‬ ‭4:8 ‬ ‭ “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
