Do Not Fear!

“This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.” Isaiah‬ ‭48:17‬ ‭

Today, I was doing something and I have feared something for a while, I struggle with anxiety and I hate to feel trapped. I have been scared this one thing would happen and send me into a panic. So today, I had a thought and it was, "One day God is going to do this exact thing I fear to teach me the lesson that I have nothing to even be afraid of." About 15 seconds later that's exactly what happened. I realized in that moment that God was speaking to me for weeks that taking that chance was nothing to fear, it was all a lie in my mind to tell me to be afraid. Just what I was worried about was nothing but the enemy's lies wrapped in my brain because God already knew He would give me peace. I realized that I need to have more faith in God knowing that He is going to take care of each thing I worry about, as He always has and always will. He doesn't need to warn us when something that would typically send us into panic is coming, but sometimes He does. Today, you can learn a lesson from God just like I did. You have no reason to fear. Sometimes we have to be put in situations we don't want to be in for God to show us He is still in control. God has been in control and taken care of you for your entire life and all our plans are in His hands. He is more than capable of taking care of us. I had no reason to fear and neither do you. In the same way, God has made a way each time in your life, and He will continue to do so. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭ “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭ “I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.” Psalms‬ ‭34:4‬ ‭
