Do Your Best.

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭

Do your best and leave God the rest. There is only so much we as humans are capable of. This verse shows us that what we do is not by our own strength but by God's strength working through us. When we do the best that we know to do in life God's power will work through us. It's kind of amazing when you think that you're doing your best but it's through God's power that things work. If we try to do things without God it will never be enough, doing what we can and leaving the rest to God is always best. Doing your part is a lot of dedication, it's something you have to work at and trust that God will help you with, but there is one thing I have learned over time and that is God will never leave you hanging. He never once has forgotten you, and He will not start now. Today, do everything in your human power and let God work through you to do the rest. You are capable through Christ. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.”Isaiah‬ ‭40:29‬ ‭ “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭ “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”” Joshua‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭ “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
