Focus On God.

“Never stop praying.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭

If we made sure that our eyes were fully focused on God, then we wouldn't be able to focus on anything else. We must remind ourselves that God is the most important thing to focus on. God is the center of everything in our lives; that is how it should be. Although God knows everything we have done throughout our day He still cares to listen to it. Throughout the day I often times find myself stopping to talk to God about something that happened, even though He already knew and saw it, I still choose to let Him know what I feel about it. Nothing would ever be unnoticed by God. When we choose to focus on God we choose to take time out of our day, every single day to include Him. We stop to pray before we eat, we spend time talking to God, spend time in prayer, and worship Him. When our eyes are set on God we are choosing to take time for Him out of our busy lives. Today, make sure your focus is on God and nothing else. I have learned when my focus is on what God can do, He always comes through. He has never failed me. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,” Philippians‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭ “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭ “But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.” Psalms‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭ “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.”Proverbs‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
