Sit Down And Be Still.

““Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”” Psalms‬ ‭46:10‬ ‭

Remember as a kid when you would wake up on Christmas morning so excited, but your parents would tell you to be still and wait a minute. It was so hard to be still while being so excited. How many times in life do we have a problem with being patient with God, when we get excited for what He is doing? We tend to want to take things into our own hands and make things happen for us. We should remind ourselves that the promises of God will always come to us, we just need to remain still and calm. We cannot jump ahead and make things happen because we will never understand all that God is doing. The plans of God are far greater than the plans we have for ourselves. Today, if you're waiting on something for God remind yourself to sit back and patiently wait, God has it all under control. Just because you don't see it, or feel it yet know that it is coming. Your job is to be patient with God, knowing He can and will do the impossible for you! So bring yourself back to that place as a child where you sit patiently and you wait for God to do what He needs to. Your gift in the form of blessings will be better than you expected. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.” Mark‬ ‭4:39‬ ‭ “Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.” 1 Peter‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭ “And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’””Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭20:35‬ ‭ “Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.”Psalms‬ ‭103:1‬ ‭
