Dream Of Good Things!

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬ ‭

Are your desires being pushed by faith in God or your flesh? There are things we all want and dream of, but we must come to a place where we ask ourselves, is it a place of having faith that God will do it, or is it something that you know will lead to sin? You cannot expect God to be a part of something sinful. It's okay to dream big, but you have to ask yourself if that dream is something that will help you lead souls to God and bring you closer to God. Your life is meant to be surrounded by God no matter where you are. You can dream as big as you want but make sure you are including God in that dream. I always talk to God while cleaning, doing laundry, driving, washing the dishes, or even just sitting in the living room. You can include God in anything if you choose to do so. Today, include God in all things, and your dreams too. God will give you your heart desires, why not include Him in those? Here are some verses to reflect on today. “They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.” Romans‬ ‭1:25‬ ‭ “throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:22‬ ‭ “Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭2:22‬ ‭ “If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭2:21‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
