Show Compassion.

“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.” Colossians‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭

Being quick to judge someone is one of the worst habits you can have. You cannot judge someone and show them the compassion Jesus would simultaneously. We look at others and often mock or think of ourselves as better when we see them falling into sin. We are witnessing their moment of weakness, where they fell into their sinful desires. When those times come we have to remember that there was a time in our lives too when we had fallen short of God's glory, and when we did so we didn't want to be judged by others. Instead, we wanted someone to walk into our lives, encourage us to find our path with Christ again, and show us compassion. Today, if you find yourself in a position where you want to judge someone where they are falling short remind yourself of the forgiveness that you wanted to receive from others. You didn't want judgment just as much as anyone else does want it. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”Lamentations‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭ “Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” Colossians‬ ‭3:12‬ ‭ “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” Matthew‬ ‭9:36‬ ‭ “Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”Ephesians‬ ‭4:32‬ ‭
