You Are A Hero.

“And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” Mark‬ ‭16:15‬ ‭

We all have heard the stories of the heroes in the Bible, those who let God use them and change lives. We tend to put a time cap on those as if God cannot do the same through us today. God doesn't stop using us just because the Bible is already written. You cannot imagine yourself as a hero, because most heroes don't see themselves that way, but to someone in those world you are. If you've been open about your faith in God and told everyone you know that Jesus is truly the Son of God and you can be saved through His Holy Spirit. Today, know that to someone you've helped save their soul. You have given them hope that someday they will worship Jesus for all of eternity. You must be open about your faith to help others, even if sometimes that means putting yourself in uncomfortable places. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For Christ didn’t send me to baptize, but to preach the Good News—and not with clever speech, for fear that the cross of Christ would lose its power.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭ “Yet preaching the Good News is not something I can boast about. I am compelled by God to do it. How terrible for me if I didn’t preach the Good News!” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭9:16‬ ‭ ““The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,”Luke‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭ “Sing to the Lord; praise his name. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.” Psalms‬ ‭96:2‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
