Give God Praise!

“Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things.” ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭

When God opens the door don't forget to praise Him. In this generation, we are all told that people are "self-made". Nothing about your life is all because of you. The Bible says that all good things are a gift from Heaven. We cannot take credit for God's work. We often times pray that God will help us be able to do something, and that is often hard to do, but God makes a way. When God makes the way we cannot say that we got ourselves to where we are. God is the only reason we ever get anywhere in life. We have to start giving God the praise that He deserves. Today, make sure you're not undermining God's blessings. He gives us things out of kindness and love for us not because He has to. Be grateful for such a compassionate God. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭63:4‬ ‭ “Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.” Psalms‬ ‭100:4‬ ‭ “Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!” Psalms‬ ‭100:1‬ ‭ “Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.” James‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
