Quiet Time.

“Pray that the Lord your God will show us what to do and where to go.”” Jeremiah‬ ‭42:3‬ ‭

In the quietness, God begins to speak. I've found that it's harder to hear what God wants to tell me when I often surround myself with others. Although we all need time alone, we need time to listen too. We can hear God around others but sometimes we need that one-on-one time with God to truly sit and listen. I love the days it's cool outside, with a bit of a breeze where you can sit outside and listen to the birds sing songs of praise and whatever it is God wants to speak. We need time to listen to God alone in the silence of nature. Today, take time to be alone with God and listen truly to whatever it is He has to say to you. The advice of others amounts to nothing compared to the advice of God. You need quiet time with God. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone.” Matthew‬ ‭14:23‬ ‭ “But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.” Matthew‬ ‭6:6‬ ‭ ““When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get.” Matthew‬ ‭6:5‬ ‭ “But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer.” Psalms‬ ‭66:19‬
