There Is Joy!

“but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.” Luke‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭

There will be joy in the morning. I think of this saying multiple times a day, how God never fails to bring us joy. In the same way that we can count on the fact the sun will rise in the morning, and set in the evening we can count on the fact that God will always bring us joy. We can search for happiness anywhere and through anything, but that kind of happiness will never last. We will never be satisfied, we will always search for something more. God doesn't and will never forget to bring us happiness, the same way He never forgets to tell the sun to rise and set. He created you like He did the sunrise and sunset, and you're just as important. We have to find the joy that God is sending us. Today, cling to the joy of the Lord, knowing that He will always ensure we are full of joy. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!” Philippians‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭ “Always be joyful.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭ “This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭118:24‬ ‭ “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” Psalms‬ ‭30:5‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
