Lead Others To Him.

“Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭

One of the hardest lessons I have had to learn is no matter how bad I want to see someone change for the better nothing I say or do can make them change. I can lead by example, tell them all the right things, and do everything I can for them but until they decide to truly change, they won't. Everyone has a mind of their own, we all work in different ways. We each are our own person, but we were created by the same God. We might be different but we are also the same. We have a saying from the south that you can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink from the trough. You have to lead others to God, but you cannot make them understand what you're saying or change. Today, do what you can to lead by an example of Jesus' love, forgiveness, and mercy. Let God do the rest. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.” Romans‬ ‭12:8‬ ‭ “Don’t Lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example.” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭ “The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” Psalms‬ ‭32:8‬ ‭ “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
