Peace In The Storm.

“When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.” Mark‬ ‭4:39‬ ‭

When the storm grew louder, Jesus was still napping. The disciples began to panic, trying to wake Jesus to help them. When Jesus awoke He said, peace be still. The Bible says and then there was a great calm. We each search for a great calm in every aspect of our lives, we want that peace that the Bible talks about. We must realize that the peace we are searching for is only found in Jesus. When the storm seems to be raging around you remember the story, Jesus was sleeping through the storm. Not because He didn't care about the disciples, he was scared, and most definitely not because He wasn't paying attention. Jesus slept through the Storm because He knew who was in control. He knew that He was in control of the wind and the waves. Today, remember who the Auther is of the wind and waves. God will give you great calm in every part of your life. He alone is in control of all things. He can fill you with His peace. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭ “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭ “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.” ‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3:16‬

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
