Show Love.

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4‬ ‭

Are you setting the example of God's love to those around you? We always want to be shown love and kindness from others but are we doing that in return, or better yet first? When we meet someone are we leaving a compassionate, loving, Christian impression? The Bible tells us to love those who hurt us, and that tells us that God wants us to love even when it is difficult. The people who are sometimes hard to love secretly carry baggage. They face battles alone and just need someone to depend on. When you're being kind, loving, and compassionate towards someone even if they might be difficult you're setting the best example for Jesus. Today, when it's hard to be kind to someone choose to be kind anyway, show them the kind of love that you want. Here are some verses to reflect on today. ““Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked.” Luke‬ ‭6:35‬ ‭ “But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭ “We love each other because he loved us first.” 1 John‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭ “Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.” 2 John‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
