Your Time Will Come.
“But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.” 2 Peter 3:8
Today marks my thousandth blog. One thousand days of consistency, though every good day and bad day, every happy moment and sad, I have stuck to it and posted. I know that might not seem like a lot to most but it is to me. As I pondered on the 1,000 number the verse this is based on came to me. We often get in such a hurry to accomplish things in life, and we question why God isn't in a hurry. God doesn't use the concept of time, He doesn't need to. God was here before time was even created. Time is based on the sun rising and setting, the sun and moon were created by God therefore He was here before the concept of time. We cannot be in a rush when God is in control, God doesn't work on our timetable and He doesn't need to. God knows how to handle things on His own timing. Today, stop stressing and rushing things in life, when it is meant to happen I can promise you God will make it happen. Everything that is meant for you, if you are living an honorable life and being true in your relationship with God, then He will work it out in His timing. Your time will come, but it will be in God's timing, not yours. He doesn't get in a hurry, and neither should you! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”” Esther 4:14 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9 “Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 “The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.” Deuteronomy 28:12
