Forgive Immediately.

“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.” Colossians‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭

We often say that we need time to forgive someone. I was thinking about that today, when someone hurts us we always say we need time to forgive them. I felt the conviction in my heart thinking about how God had never once told me that. No matter what I have done wrong, no matter how many times I failed Him, He still forgave me the second I asked. When we think of that we should also think of the fact that God doesn't need time to forgive us. We are wasting time when we say that, and hold a grudge. We should always find it in our hearts to forgive immediately. The Bible says we have to forgive in order to be forgiven. Today, forgive immediately. Do not waste your time holding a grudge on someone, you're only punishing yourself. Move on, and trust God. Let God's peace guide you, and forgive those who hurt you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:32‬ ‭ “But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.”” Mark‬ ‭11:25‬ ‭ ““If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.” Matthew‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭ “Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:21‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
