God Above It All!

“And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” Colossians‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭

The world we live in today questions why we make God a part of everything. The real question is why wouldn't we? Why would we take God out of everything in our lives when He is why we exist. We should make sure to make God the center of everything that we do. Growing up, I was taught to say, "Thank you, and God bless you." It stuck with me all my life. I still say it. It is apart of who I am, God is a part of who I am. We as Christians cannot allow God to be taken out of anything because that leaves us also taken out of it. If we allow God to be taken out, and God is our everything then we are a part of what is being taken out. God should be the center of our world and everything that we do. When you include God in everything, God shows up for you. Today, don't be ashamed to include God in everything that you say and do, it's who you are as a Christian. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:5‬ ‭ “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭ “If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.” Matthew‬ ‭10:38‬ ‭ “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’” Matthew‬ ‭22:37‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
