Shining Bright For Jesus!

“For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭

Shining for Jesus is so important. We never know the impact we are making on those around us. When we choose to be kind, loving, and compassionate to those around us, we are showing the light of Jesus through our actions. Sometimes others make it difficult to be kind to them, but we as Christians set the example of our faith through our actions. We can tell someone about Jesus a million times, and it's great to do so but it's even better to show them what He is like. Look at all the situations God has brought you out of, He is a God of testimony. Today, you have to ensure you're setting the example of the light by what you do, how you act, and, more importantly, how you treat each other. You have to show love to others and be the light you once needed to see in this dark world. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light.” John‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭ “And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness.” Genesis‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭ “If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.”” Luke‬ ‭11:36‬ ‭ “The Lord’s light penetrates the human spirit, exposing every hidden motive.” Proverbs‬ ‭20:27‬

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
