Showing The Love Of Jesus!

“But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭

Jesus is love. The Bible tells us that we love because He first loves us. We cannot call ourselves Christians when we aren't showing the love of Jesus to others. I have learned that I have to be an example of Jesus' love because not everyone has experienced it. We are here to remind others of the real version of Jesus. He forgives, He loves, and most of all He shows mercy. If we aren't acting like Jesus then how can we say we are Christians? We are here to show what Jesus is like through us. We have to see that we are what others perceive as how Jesus would act. So many people have turned away from Jesus because of the way Christians have treated them. You're not going to be perfect, that is okay. Today, try your best to be kind, loving, and compassionate towards others, just as you'd want them to be to you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:10‬ ‭ “Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.” 2 John‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭ “And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” Ephesians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭ “May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”Ephesians‬ ‭3:19‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
