Spend Time With God.

“But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.” Matthew‬ ‭6:6‬ ‭

I haven't been the best at reading my Bible recently. I have failed to do what I know is best in my relationship with God. Today as I sat playing on my phone I realized how much time I was truly wasting, that was valuable time I could have been spending with God. I felt the need to begin right then, so I did. I started a new Bible plan on my app. I then opened my Bible beside me in my car, reminding myself that I need time with God to read. I needed that time to feel refreshed and strengthened. We tend to put so many things above our relationship with God. We put social media, money, jobs, friends, relationships, and more into what we should be doing to strengthen our relationship with God. Today, I encourage you to do as I have done. Instead of playing a game, talking to your friends, doing a hobby, or scrolling on social media take time for God. Nothing is more important than God. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For the word of God will never fail.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:37‬ “I will delight in your decrees and not forget your word.” Psalms‬ ‭119:16‬ ‭ “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:105‬ ‭ “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
