Be Thankful Now!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭

Be thankful! I have learned that God blesses a thankful heart. I have found that being thankful and seeing the bright side really does help. It shows that I trust God even when I see no hope. I was praying over a situation out of my control once, I would pray for a sign and I kept getting small ones but I thought they were convenient and seemed like I was making them up but they weren't. I kept praying for a bigger sign. The night before the breakthrough God gave me a dream and I knew it was from God. It had to do with my ministry and exactly what God was telling me He would do. Then I woke up. That day I felt those emotions, and I then trusted God. I was still worried, but I knew what God had shown me. That evening what God spoke was right. Today, when God speaks trust in Him. Don't worry. God always has your best interest in mind. He just wants you to be thankful where you are. Thank Him before it even happens. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:15‬ ‭ “I thank you for answering my prayer and giving me victory!” Psalms‬ ‭118:21‬ ‭ “All of your works will thank you, Lord, and your faithful followers will praise you.”Psalms‬ ‭145:10‬ ‭ “I will thank you, Lord, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations.”Psalms‬ ‭57:9‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
