Don’t Turn Cold.

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭

The weather has gone cold here, it's normally my favorite season. However, this time it seems different, like I can't get warm. I'm always cold. It got me to thinking about how life would be miserably cold without Jesus. We could never survive even a moment without Jesus. All that we have and all that we are is through Jesus. Try and think about what God truly gives us through Jesus, peace, comfort, joy, hope, strength, healing, health, patience, goodness, faithfulness and so much more. A life without Jesus would run cold immediately, we would have nothing. All that we are because of Jesus. Today, make sure that your life is not turning cold. Stay in a close realtionship with Jesus knowing He is everything for us. Here are some verses to relfect on today. “She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm clothes.” Proverbs‬ ‭31:21‬ ‭ “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭ “Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:29‬ ‭ “You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.” Philippians‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
