Love Them Anyways.

““Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked.” Luke‬ ‭6:35‬ ‭

Sometimes people hurt us to the point where we feel like we will never love the same again. They take advantage of the way we freely love and use it to their advantage. We have to remember that we have to love those the same way we love people who are good to us. What kind of love are we representing if we only love someone when it is convenient for us. We have to freely love just like Jesus. No matter how many times we have failed Him, He still loves us the same. Why would we be here to set the example of Jesus if we don't love without reasoning then that isn't showing the love of Jesus. The Bible tells us over and over that we have to forgive seventy times seven, and we also have to forgive others to be forgiven. When we choose not to forgive then we are holding that love back also. Today, freely love those who have hurt you and also those who have been good to you. Never stop loving others. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭ “We love each other because he loved us first.” 1 John‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭ “Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.” 2 John‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭ “And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
