Tell God Thank You!

“Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:15‬ ‭

We should take time to thank God for all of the blessings we have. We are each blessed in our own way. Today as I sat at the table with my family, I realized I have so much to be grateful for. I have a roof over my head, a family I love, friends that are like family, animals that are my family, a car that runs well and a Savior who never gives up on me. We should be grateful for the small things, like going to the store, driving down the road, having people to surround ourselves with. Today, don't let the day go by without thanking God for all the blessings you have. He has given us these things and we need to remember that without Him we would not have them. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “I thank you for answering my prayer and giving me victory!” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭118:21‬ “We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭ “All of your works will thank you, Lord, and your faithful followers will praise you.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭145:10‬ ‭ “I will thank the Lord because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.” Psalms‬ ‭7:17‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
