Thank You, God!

“Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:15‬ ‭

When God has you in a season of waiting start thanking Him. Why is it that we always wait until God opens the door to thank Him? When we truly have faith that God will make it happen, we believe it with all that we have, so we thank Him ahead of time. We thank Him in the moments that it seems impossible. We thank Him when we see no hope, or when things seem to be at a standstill. They say in the eye of a hurricane everything is calm and quiet; I feel as though it's the same in the waiting. It's calm and quiet but the end of it is near. We have to start by thanking Him for what He is yet to do. God loves to give to a thankful heart. Today, thank Him for the doors that are about to open and watch how He changes things for the better for you. The waiting doesn't last forever, but the blessing does! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “I thank you for answering my prayer and giving me victory!” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭118:21‬ ‭ “I will thank the Lord because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭7:17‬ ‭ “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ “I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
