The Right Friends!

““I will answer you and all your friends, too.” Job‬ ‭35:4‬

If it's pulling you away from God, then it was never from God in the first place. We tend to try and make excuses for those in our lives that pull us away from God. I have had to come to the realization that those God has placed in my life will uplift, encourage, and bring me closer to Him. Those who are sent from God are going to set the example in my life. We like to water things down saying that it doesn't matter who we are around. If that were true, why did Jesus heal people due to their friend's faith? He seen the prayer of the friends. God sees and He hears those prayers. Today, look at the fruits that your friend's bare. Ask yourself, are they bringing you closer to God? It matters who you choose to surround yourself with! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.” Proverbs‬ ‭17:17‬ ‭ “If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:10‬ ‭ “Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:33‬ ‭ “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.”Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:9‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
