A Gift From God.

““I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭

God is giving you peace. A gift is something we each have given or received. A gift cannot be begged or bought because it is something given with love. When God chose to provide us with the gift of peace, He never asked for a payment. The same is true of His forgiveness, which He paid the price for. We must start to understand that nothing we say or do can ever earn God's peace or forgiveness. We should stop trying to earn it and start receiving it. Today, God is giving you the gift of peace and forgiveness take it. God never gives us something with strings attached. He is freely giving you these gifts if you will receive them. All we have to do is ask God to reveal and give us the gift. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:15‬ ‭ “A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:7 “But Peter replied, “May your money be destroyed with you for thinking God’s gift can be bought!” Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭8:20‬ ‭ “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.” Ephesians‬ ‭2:8‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
