Be Careful What You Listen To.
“Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.” 1 Timothy 4:16
As continuing on the subject of music like yesterday, if the music we hear did not matter then why did God kick the enemy out of Heaven? When the enemy started trying to make everyone look more at him than at worshiping God, that is when God drew the line. What we listen to matters, very much. Considering what we hear often fills our minds with thoughts and the words we hear. When choosing music, make sure it will uplift, encourage, and push you in the right direction. Today, know that what you listen to does matter very much. God cares, and so should you. As a child we sang a song in Sunday school by Cedarmont Kids, it said, "Be careful little ears what you hear." We have to be careful what we listen to, because it does matter. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Your might and power were buried with you. The sound of the harp in your palace has ceased. Now maggots are your sheet, and worms your blanket.’” Isaiah 14:11 ““How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world.” Isaiah 14:12 “singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts.” Ephesians 5:19 “Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; celebrate his lovely name with music.” Psalms 135:3
