Be Careful What You Listen To.

“Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭

As continuing on the subject of music like yesterday, if the music we hear did not matter then why did God kick the enemy out of Heaven? When the enemy started trying to make everyone look more at him than at worshiping God, that is when God drew the line.  What we listen to matters, very much. Considering what we hear often fills our minds with thoughts and the words we hear. When choosing music, make sure it will uplift, encourage, and push you in the right direction. Today, know that what you listen to does matter very much. God cares, and so should you. As a child we sang a song in Sunday school by Cedarmont Kids, it said, "Be careful little ears what you hear." We have to be careful what we listen to, because it does matter. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Your might and power were buried with you. The sound of the harp in your palace has ceased. Now maggots are your sheet, and worms your blanket.’” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14:11‬ ‭ ““How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world.” Isaiah‬ ‭14:12‬ ‭ “singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts.” Ephesians‬ ‭5:19‬ ‭ “Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; celebrate his lovely name with music.” Psalms‬ ‭135:3‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
