It Does Matter!

 “In the same way, the Lord ordered that those who preach the Good News should be supported by those who benefit from it.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭9:14‬ ‭

I overheard a conversation the other day where a lady was talking about how people tend to use the excuse that Jesus never went to church so they don't have to go. She went on to say, but Jesus did go to church, He went to the temple. I have thought about that all week. All my life I have heard others tell me that church is not a necessity or it would be in the Bible, but it was in the Bible. Although the veil tore when Jesus was on the cross, church is still something we need. Today, make an effort for God and go to church the next time the doors are open. We might not have to go to church to get into heaven, but I think it's something that we need in order to grow in our relationship with God properly. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.” Mark‬ ‭15:38‬ ‭ “So it makes no difference whether I preach or they preach, for we all preach the same message you have already believed.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:11‬ ‭ “The following week almost the entire city turned out to hear them preach the word of the Lord.” Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭13:44‬ ‭ “They preach because they love me, for they know I have been appointed to defend the Good News.” Philippians‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
