Run Him Off!

If you don't fill your mind with thoughts of good things then the enemy will fill it with lies, fear, stress, sadness, and anger. He knows the buttons to press and where we are struggling. I have realized that some things that are bothering me are actually scare tactics of the enemy. He wants to prevent us from reaching our full potential in Christ. God's plans for us are so. beautiful that we cannot even begin to imagine it. God never uses scare tactics with us, instead, He shows us good things, love, joy, hope, strength, and things that will benefit us in the end. He knows what we are called to do and wants to help us get there. Today, tell the enemy to flee in the name of Jesus. He can only control the amount of your life that you allow Him to. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “The enemy runs at the sound of your voice. When you stand up, the nations flee!” Isaiah‬ ‭33:3‬ ‭ “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” Proverbs‬ ‭31:25‬ ‭ “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.” Proverbs‬ ‭19:21‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
