Show Appreciation.

“There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs‬ ‭18:24‬ ‭

It matters who you hang around. If God did not intend for us to have friends that uplift us then He wouldn't have healed people because of their friends' faith. God knew we shouldn't be alone, so He sent us friends who stuck closer than a brother. When life is good it's great to have someone to laugh with, and when life isn't it's great to have a shoulder to cry on. We are each blessed with those real friends that we know we can count on, but do we really show them appreciation? Today, thank God and your real friends for sticking by you always. Sometimes they just need to feel appreciated. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.” Proverbs‬ ‭17:17‬ ‭ “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:17‬ ‭ “Whoever loves a pure heart and gracious speech will have the king as a friend.” Proverbs‬ ‭22:11‬ ‭ “The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:9‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
